What riders say

The general consensus is that the station is a modern, convenient, and cost-effective hub for commuting into New York City and surrounding areas. Reviewers frequently praise the station for its recent renovations, cleanliness, bright lighting, easy navigation, and adjacent parking, as well as its reliable 24-hour service and accessibility upgrades like escalators. On the other hand, the main complaints center on frequent train delays, severe overcrowding during peak and weekend hours, a complete lack of public restrooms, and a broken elevator that hinders accessibility. Additional negative points highlight dilapidated older entrances, flooded roadways and potholes outside, confusing signage, and an instance of rude staff behavior.

Best value in town. ($3.25 Harrison to WTC) My family and I have been visiting New Jersey for years and whenever we want to venture in to the city this is the only way to go. The station is clean well lit and modern. There is ample parking. I recall from years past the train being delayed. This time the train was punctual and on time. As the train makes its way into Manhattan expect it to get crowded. Overall hands down the best value/convenient way to get there bro the city without breaking the bank.

Gregory Lieberman ★★★ ★★

Although much more convenient and cleaner than Newark Penn Station's PATH platforms, by the time it reaches Harrison (WTC-Bound) the trains are packed to capacity even on non-peak times. Thats not a Harrison issue though, its just the Port Authority does not run enough trains. And as Newark, Harrison, & J.C. grow with more transplants that commute to NYC, they have not adjusted to accommodate the growing population. Also, trains are rarely on time, alot of homeless/drug addict/mentally ill types that ride it (not as bad as the MTA Subway, still, there have been times the train car smelled so bad from one person that everyone switched cars at the 1st stop. Ride at your own risk.

DAVID WEISER ★★★ ★★

Still has a liitle way to go completing the train platforms and entrance ways but has been greatly improved. Currently new platforms are connected to the old delabitaded platforms. The entrance headed to NYC is third world - looks like it is ready to fall down any second. Parking remains a challenge. The roadways surrounding the station are in terrible condition. It's pothole galore and uneven roadways. Heavy flooding - river like - during significant rain storms outside the entrance roadways. Bring your fishing waiters when it rains.

Harrison PATH station is very clean and well-maintained after the recent renovation. They’ve added wheelchair ♿ access and escalators, making it more convenient for all commuters. There’s plenty of paid parking available nearby (ranging from $4 to $11). For new visitors, note that there are two entrances on the side heading toward WTC — make sure to use the larger, newly built entrance. The smaller one leads toward Newark, which can be confusing for first-timers. Outside the station, you can catch the NJ Transit bus number 40, which goes toward the Kearny Garden Terrace Depot, Newark, and then the Elizabeth Shopping Mall. There’s also an EZ Ride shuttle stop that provides service to Kearny.

Path offers a unique subway style commute joinging Mangattan with Jersey City/Newark within a half hour.

Clean, new, modern station in stark contrast with its neighbor stations on either side: Journal Square and Newark Penn. it’s past time for those to be significantly upgraded.

Christopher ★★★★ ★

This a newer stop with convenient access to journal square, grove street, exchange place and world trade. The morning's are always a bit busy so allow yourself extra time. There is always a small delay, and as time goes by the path gets more and more crowded. Either way this is an easy stop to get into the city. It is mostly clean and largely free from homeless people.

Easy parking and access to the path trains. Perfect alternative for me into NYC

Used this station several times while staying at the Element hotel, which is right next to the station. First time ever using this station and it was a breeze, very easy to simply scan a credit card and get in. As for the station, much cleaner than Penn Station. Overall – I enjoyed using the PATH trains from this station!

Usually pretty easy to find parking in the evening if I need to go into the city for an event. Station is clean and well lit.

Idk who mustafa standing by the path shuttle to journal square rn is but started making fun of a scar on my face. Started joking and laughing about it when without knowing I had a cancer removed from my face. Terrible atrocious his name is mustafa he made sure I knew while he laughed at a scar I received by accident. Need better human beings working path.

convenient 24 hours towards NYC. Also Towards Newark, Harrison, Journal Square, Grove, and Exchange place PATH runs 24 hours 365 days. Harrison: Clean, safe, and nice looking station. ONLY THING IS NO BATHROOMS AT THIS STATION. Especially if you’re waiting For the train for a while and If they delay it. Make time for room because at times, it might be crowded, especially on weekends expect delays. Overall good staion. Just put bathrooms. I see people peeing on the side and even parking lot. convenient parking with a fee. Near by food places and a 24 hour quick check 2 blocks away NOTE: if you’re going in a big group do not buy the unlimited week or month. You can only use it one time per person for the unlimited day, week, and month. it WILL only let you swipe 1 time every 15 mins. just load your card for any amount then you can swipe up to 4x only. or get an individual metro card for each person.. BATHROOMS!!

Audit the Port Authority and fire the administrators for severely wasting OUR TAXPAYER MONEY. The minimum gap for service during the daytime should be 10 minutes. Period. I am tired of being crammed like a sardine in a train that crawls on the weekends. Stop wasting our taxpayer money and stop strangling the NYC region with inadequate service. We are severely limiting the potential of our cities and towns in metro NYC. We are losing so much in economic growth because of corruption and inadequate infrastructure.

It is very safe, clean, Convenient 24hr service to NYC! You can use NYC metro card. PRICE PER RIDE IS JUST LIKE MTA. Conveniently connected with many MTA trains, busses and ferry services. it's beautiful & state of the art. Must visit.

Anu Gupta ★★★★ ★

Agree, it needs new visible sign board n a ramp along with stairs, if not possible for escalator. It will help to people who face difficulty in climbing , like s super senior citizens.

dkmoney007 ★★★ ★★

It's exactly what you would expect of a PATH station. Wait was non-existant because of the Red Bulls game. We got off at Journal Square and took a PATH train to Hoboken but we could have taken it all the way down to the city. This station is probably the smallest one in NJ I've been in.

Amanda ★★★★★

Convenient and fairly clean. Updates needed, especially a pedestrian crossing between both sides of the tracks. Hopefully they will come soon.

The elevator is still damaged. How am I supposed to get my stroller up? It has been out of service for a long time.
