What riders say

The general consensus is that Harrah's Atlantic City Casino has significantly declined in quality, though some guests still enjoy renovated rooms and specific amenities. On the positive side, visitors praise the modern, renovated rooms in certain towers, comfortable beds, polite individual staff members, lively nightlife, and the large indoor tropical pool. On the negative side, numerous reviewers report filthy rooms with stained bedding, pervasive cigarette odors, poor housekeeping, and long check-in delays alongside broken kiosks and faulty keycards. Guests also frequently complain about slow or unhelpful customer service, closed dining and entertainment options during the week, exorbitant prices, unexpected fees, dirty casino floors and restrooms, and lack of family-friendly amenities.

Updated rooms that are modern and clean. The resort itself has little to offer otherwise. Most restaurants are closed during the week so make sure to bring snacks. There are a few shops inside but they are also closed most of the time. I stayed for a convention but for entertainment ı would look somwhere else.

Probably my favorite casino on the AC coast. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are very comfortable. The pool is the strongest selling point. Large indoor tropical pool setting with waitstaff. At night, the whole complex turns into a gaint nightclub. The nightlife throughout the casino is very lively. The resturants are all pretty good. The rooms are very expensive but I'd recommend a stay here.

I’ve edited this post. Originally I gave the hotel 2 stars but because of the staff, I’m rewriting it. People at check-in were awesome. Staff was great. My complaint was with the room only. My first room in the marina tower was terrible. It was filthy and smelled so bad I could barely sleep. They were booked solid for the night so I had to deal with it. The staff asked me to call in the morning to see if they had rooms opening up. I called and she immediately put a room aside for me and didn’t ask questions. I talked to Michael C at the front desk who I explained my reason for moving and he sounded genuinely concerned. Now I’m in the waterfront side and I think my old room must have been an oddity. The new room is great and I’m very happy they were so willing to help. Photos are from my first room.

I am disappointed. My husband and I got into a Harrah's hotel room, in the Waterfront view 14th floor area, around 9:30 PM. The floor and carpet were dirty. I immediately called house keeping, described the conditions observed, as there was even a pill on the floor and a bag behind the dresser. We waited, made 3 more calls and each time, were told someone would be up shortly. The second call, I asked if we could get a clean room , but they were sold out. It is now 2:07AM and still waiting. My husband finally went to bed, and part of the sheets were accidentally moved, revealing part of the stained gross mattress. Now I can't even sleep under the sheets. 2:15 AM a gentleman arrives with towels, but nothing to vacuum or clean the floors. I felt sorry for the gentleman, as he appeared clearly exhausted, but I advised him that I explained multiple times that the floors needed to be cleaned and carpets vacuumed. He returns 7 minutes later vacuums and cleans the floor, but didn't have anything to remove the bag behind the dresser. I have been coming to AC over 20 years, and seems like the rooms keep getting worse, even though their website states the rooms are renovated. The atmosphere is normally cozy at Harrah's. I tried to attach 7 pictures, then attempted to attach 4, but not sure why the pictures of the mattress and floors are not showing on this review. The staff is courteous. The manager was apologetic and offered a late check out time.

The pool for 21 and over is beautiful, but the only other pool is inside. Very small and filthy. Short on towels and the lifeguard was in a different room. Clean room, but they never come back to clean. 4 days had trouble getting towels, no toilet paper tissues or plastic bags. No one answers the phone .went to the desk n was told someone would bring everything. 6 hrs later back to our room. Nothing in the room n my child goes to the bathroom, yep NO PAPER. Everything is blamed on covid. Casinos are making good money n prices are high. $4 a donut and $20 for a takeout salad. Most quick restaurants are closed for training 😩 until aug the 30th.

My reservation was confirmed weeks in advance. When I arrived at the hotel, my room was not reserved. I was told by check-in that they will find me a room. I was checked into a room filled with cigarette smoke. The entire 20th floor smelled like a permitted smoking floor however, check- in stated that it was a non-smoking floor and room. I requested to change my room and was denied.. The hotel did nothing to accommodate me whatsoever. I informed them that I’m asthmatic and they send up someone to deodorize the room. The hotel was crowded, lines were long and valet parking a disaster. Guest were required to pay $20 a person to utilize the pool. Late check-out charged $50 an hour. they refused to change the room because of no availability…I will never return!!!!..this place is a dump!!!!.. food options poor and prices are outrageous..

If you have kids only go on the weekend. The family pool was closed and the other pool was only for 21 & older. The Family Center/game room was closed. The customer service was awful. I was very disappointed & will never be going back! In one of the rooms the sheet had a big dried up stain. Our room couldn't be changed until a supervisor seen the bed. We waited hours for someone to come check the room. I wished we could have gave a O star!

Noisy AC and clogged drain were unexpected and unacceptable. Skipped the room service as they were busy. We booked a king bed but could not offer us at front desk while checking in. Parking garage has a 7’ clearance and cars with roof box should park far from the entrance.

Lucy Harrison ★ ★★★★

The room had cracks across the ceiling. I had no wash clothes in the room. Had to ask for one. There are hidden fees when you fly total rewards air. Make sure you check it out before you accept the package deal. Machines are tight and I will not return.

Went for the day to play slots. The place was disgusting! Nobody was wiping down machines and hand sanitizer stations were hard to find and seems like they were watered down. Didn’t even have the slightest odor of alcohol. Driving home I kept smelling the dirty odor of casino, realizing it was my clothes. The men’s room my husband used smelt like urine. The same went for the stairwell in parking deck. Obviously, they didn’t do any deep cleaning during covid. When I got home, I threw my players card in the trash, took a long, hot shower, and washed my clothes. Will never go there again. I will stick with Hard Rock!

We stayed for a night recently. The check in line was long and during covid everyone gathering in one place to check in was disappointing. If you plan to stay at Harrah's, definitely use their website to book and not a third party. You can use express check out if you use their website to book. We were treated to an upgraded suite though since we already had booked prior to getting to the check out line from Jose. He was very accommodating. Overall, the room was great and clean. The casino floor is great with plenty of selection to chose from along with shops and eateries.

This place is horrible! Nothing is open. Hard to find a bar which they then charge you $23 for 2 skunk beers. Room not ready on time. No free drinks on floor. Fine dining only sit down dinner options. Go to Borgata…they at least are open. Shame-we used to come often.

It's not what it used to. Housekeeping is not as good. And the HVAC can't keep up with the afternoon sun on a Spring day. The thermostat is no good as it seems it is controlled elsewhere at 78 degrees. We will consider Ocean's Casino before coming back.

Got here at 3:30pm and still not in my room. Hours in line to check in, kiosks didn’t work, finally got a key and the lock has dead batteries but they are in the middle of a supposed shift change so nobody can fix the lock and they won’t replace the room. Dozens of conversations with people who politely say they don’t know what to do. Almost midnight and I’m nodding off on in the hallway now, guess this is the best Harrah’s has to offer. Officially the worst managed customer experience of my entire life!!!

frank Brown ★ ★★★★

Came here after not being here since 2019. Wow it really has declined. Dirty and no attention to detail. I also noticed some broken items as well. We walked around for a short time and went across the street instead and had a much better experience. I wouldn't waste my time or money here.

Robert Fortino ★ ★★★★

Dirty dirty dirty. Low class stale cigarette smell in the room, bathroom door off level; noise from low class clients, disgusting bed linens. Scanky scanky. Could have stayed at the hardworking

Kristal Chamberlain ★★★ ★★

Machines wouldn't take tickets only cash, had to cash out at cashier each time, paid at kiosk for parking and it didn't print ticket so had to go all the way to front desk. And the place was trashed, beer bottles, cups. Cigarettes all on casino floor. Definitely not what we were expecting..
